Design Story

The artwork is built entirely in flat black line work on white, which gives it the crispness of a printed illustration rather than a heavy block graphic. Each figure holds a different stance — hands raised, hips angled, knees bent, heels lifted — so the row reads as a sequence of movement instead of four repeats. The spacing between them is generous, letting negative space carry the rhythm. The skulls sit as the visual anchors along the top line, drawing the eye across the design left to right.
