Design Story

The composition is built on restraint. A single line of varsity lettering curves gently upward across the chest, its soft grey tone sitting one step away from the black ground rather than shouting against it. That low contrast is the whole idea: the type reads clearly, but it never separates from the garment. The arc borrows its structure from athletic tradition, yet the muted value turns declaration into understatement. Everything below the lettering is open space, and that emptiness does the work — it gives the words weight by refusing to compete with them.
