Design Story

The graphic is a single line of lowercase serif type reading "gym shirt." set in soft charcoal against a clean white ground. The lettering is small, restrained and almost editorial in its spacing, with that closing period doing most of the attitude work — a flat, dry statement rather than a slogan. Because the type sits just below the collar line, the rest of the body is treated as deliberate negative space, letting the fabric drape read as part of the composition instead of a background.

Fit & Wear

Scale is the whole idea here. On an oversized silhouette, a small centred graphic exaggerates the volume around it, so the tee reads as quiet confidence from across a room and only reveals its wording up close. The high placement keeps the type visible above a bag strap or an open overshirt, and the pale ground makes it an easy layering base — worn loose over shorts, tucked at the front over denim, or left to fall long as the whole outfit.
